Use: Xantocin 40WP is a new-generation product that is rapidly absorbed through both leaves and roots. It combines strong bactericidal action with activation of the plant’s natural defense mechanisms. It is specially formulated for the control of bacterial leaf blight, bacterial foot rot in rice, and slow wilt in black pepper.
Rice: Bacterial leaf blight and bacterial foot rot. Dosage: 0.2–0.25 kg/ha Directions for use: Dilute 18–20 g product in a 25 L knapsack sprayer and apply 300–400 L spray solution per hectare. Timing of application: Spray preventively or at the first appearance of disease symptoms. When disease pressure is high, apply a second treatment 5–7 days later. Pre-harvest interval: 1 day.
Black pepper: Slow wilt disease Dosage: 0.05% solution (50 g product per 100 L water) Directions for use: Prepare a 0.05% solution (50 g/100 L water) and apply with a 25 L sprayer, using 300–400 L spray solution per hectare. Timing of application: Drench evenly around the base of the vines at 4–5 L solution per plant when symptoms first appear. When disease pressure is high, repeat the application after 5–7 days. Pre-harvest interval: 1 day.
